Statement of Intent - To educate, bring awareness to and ensure that Yoga in Action has the information required to implement its Mission & Vision. Implicit in this is ongoing education for the DEI committee to ensure continued expansive inclusion on all fronts in the YIA community. Yoga in Action is driven by the desire to foster inclusion and to make therapeutic yoga accessible to all people, including those who otherwise may not have access. Our Yoga in Action board members, teachers and staff are held to the highest level of standards. We will continue to align ourselves with individuals and organizations who share our core values and will not support those who don’t.
In addition to our DEI initiative, Yoga in Action is also one of New Hampshire's Recovery Friendly Workplace. Recovery Friendly Workplaces (RFWs) support their communities by recognizing recovery from substance use disorder as a strength and by being willing to work intentionally with people in recovery. RFWs encourage a healthy and safe environment where employers, employees, and communities can collaborate to create positive change and eliminate barriers for those impacted by addiction.
